"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Colossians 3:17

Early Life

Raised by a very busy single mother, Anna shared her mother's love for stationery things. Stumbling upon her mother's little notebooks with favorite quotes and fountain pens was the foundation of her own love of stationery things. In her teen years, she found joy in watching her mom use Microsoft Excel and found herself creating spreadsheets for herself as a past time.

Anna would later use Excel to create and print different organizing sheets for her own household... chore charts, daily, weekly, and monthly check lists galore.

Inspiration to start a business

When Mathew & Anna married, he encouraged and supported her entrepreneur itch to start a business. He invested in her first sewing machine and all the little hobby things that satisfied that itch.

What started as a strong desire to prove her own success in the professional world later turned out to be a calling from God to live a life that was set apart. This pursuit led them to making a move from California to Minnesota and starting Anna Vance Paper Co.

The Start

After attempting a few seemingly failed business ventures, Anna decided to try selling the homeschool planner that she had designed for herself. Highly inspired by Charlotte Mason and the way it naturally pointed to God, she listed her first Charlotte Mason Inspired homeschool planner on Etsy. Combined with some Instagram marketing and networking with other small accounts at the time, her planner was well received and served families year after year.

Growing Pains

As the business grew, so did Mathew and Anna's family!

With infertility being a close friend to them for years, God opened Anna's womb and their family of three became six.

The struggle to balance home and business became more and more evident and the future of Anna Vance Paper Co became unclear.

These growing pains are the cornerstone of Anna Vance Paper Co moving forward, actively shaping not only our business operations, but also our family and our faith.

today

After much prayer, thanksgiving, and family meetings, Anna Vance Paper Co operates from a new lens.

With the leadership and blessing of her husband and partner Mathew, Anna continues to create simple and beautiful tools heavily inspired by her own desire to live intentionally.

The business continues to operate in their home office with Anna being the main visionary and their daughter Lana training behind the scenes.

future hopes and dreams

As a growing family, Anna leaves it up to God to grow their family business according to His will.
